We currently have two opportunities within our sales function for the following roles:

Sales Associate - Pharmacy Customer

The Sales Associate IBL will work in the GSK Consumer Healthcare Pharmacy Customer sales team which manages relationships across our key customers and accounts.

This role will work supporting predominately the National Business Managers, but also the National Account Managers across such activities as, but not limited to:

  • Generation and submission of promotional forms
  • Updating of standard reporting
  • Run weekly wholesalers SOH reports and advise key areas of concern/opportunity
  • Will assist in preparing launches of new products including samples, paperwork and POS
  • Learn and utilise IMS and Nielsen as required

Sales Associate - Indies

The Sales IBL Associates will predominately work in two of our elite Grocery Sales team supporting the National Account Team who mange the top two grocery customers in Australia, Coles & Woolworths and the team who manage the independents channel which covers customers such as Metcash, Aldi, Costco, Big W and the Petrol and Convenience channel. The roles will have great exposure to all facets of the business with the successful candidates required to develop strong working relationships across numerous internal and external stakeholders.

You will:

  • Analyse promotional activities & executions
  • Help to develop in store activations utilising consumer & shopper behavioral information
  • Report & monitor in-store, market & competitor activities
  • Assist in new products launches including store support, samples, paperwork, POS including pre-packs displays

What we're looking for in a candidate:

  • You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelors Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, International Business or a related field
  • An interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry is favourable
  • Strong passion and interest in the placement field
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High attention to detail, rigor and process
  • Excellent project management, to manage and prioritise multiple ongoing projects
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to learn (quickly)
  • Ability to quickly build strong internal & external networks
  • Strategic thinking and problem solving skills

    • Very fast paced environment

    • The role was sometimes too repetitive.

    • The work itself wasn't aligned to my work goals and career aspirations, possibly the job description wasn't accurate when I applied.

    • Complex structures and multiple locations made it hard to service all businesses equally

    • Time management

    • Pay is low, not many opportunities to move/ grow
