Analyst at IMC
The Analysts at IMC (a global multi-strategy proprietary trading firm) provide fundamental research to the APAC trading desks by investigating companies and macro events to identify tomorrow’s trading opportunity. We are looking for a smart, curious and hardworking individual to join the team covering Asia Pacific listed equities and equity/index derivatives. This role will assist in conducting both qualitative and quantitative single stock and macro analysis.
As an Analyst you will:
- Stay on top of daily news including global geopolitical, regulatory and corporate news
- Identify and monitor upcoming catalysts
- Conduct bottom up research on APAC equities and derivatives
- Identify anomalies and mispricing in the market
- Discover and monitor special situations
- Back-test statistical arbitrage and quantitative strategies
WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelors/Masters in an Economics or Finance related field of study
- CFA qualification/candidacy preferred
- 0-3 years of experience
- Solid basis of mathematics with outstanding analytical and numerical skills
- An ability to interpret and apply new information quickly; an ability to analyse and assess a situation from different angles
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Familiarity with a trading environment and derivative products, and/or Sell-side/Buy-side research experience preferred
- Experience in python a plus
- Chinese/Japanese/Korean fluency preferred
