It's probably one of the less appealing parts of a flat structure and the type of work you're doing, cause there's not much in terms of 'ranks', but it's very much a meritocracy and good work is recognised through your bonus. Trading also pretty niche, so moving to other companies is probably not the easiest either.

Because the workplace structure is quite flat, the idea of promotions is pretty vague. The closest analogy would be a team lead, which is earned through years of experience, good results, and a well rounded familiarity with how we trade in that strategy.
