Engineering Consulting
Making the world safer, healthier & more efficient through IT, engineering & science.
Supportive managers, friendly team, flexible start/finish times
Everyone is very welcoming and want you to succeed.
The flexibility of work hours is simply amazing. The benefits to your health not having to wake up and panic + rush out the door in the morning can't be overstates in my opinion. It really makes anything you need to do outside of work so much easier to factor into your week when you know you can work around your commitments.
Learning new things, feeling like the project/s that I am working on are important and meaningful.
The ability to up-skill easily and move around and try different projects.
So many opportunities and areas for growth
A lot of sitting at screens
Prior disconnect from industry standard wages (rectified somewhat now)
I haven't really had any truly negative experiences yet, I think the only negativity I've had was regarding some of the ways policy was conveyed. I felt like it was a little bit babying, like I wasn't capable of understanding basic rules. But that was from outside of my working team so was a very small aspect of my experience here.
Work pace can sometimes vary
The corporate culture can be a little uptight. Less agile than other smaller software companies.
You can't tell people what you're working on due to security clearance
