Career Prospects at Leidos

Was promoted at the end of my first year and there is a clear pathway to moving further in your field

Performance plan is well documented and openly discussed with your managers/people leaders.

Career progression possibilities are currently unclear, but there are plenty of opportunities to move around to different projects and learn new things.

Not sure about promotion possibilities but you can transfer between a great range of teams. Some previous graduates have moved up the ranks to team lead or higher roles.

Possibilities include technical leader and managerial roles. It requires experience and enhanced technical knowledge. Also requires leadership skills.

They do hire internally but I am not sure what it takes to move up the ranks

I have pretty high hopes about my ability/potential to progress

If you want to learn something new, just chat with your people leader and they will help you with training, and point you in the right direction.

If you are ambitious at this company there are heaps of roles to fill.

Previously a time based structure, recently more junior employees have been showing initiative and being rewarded for it with opportunities and recognition which is great to see. As with most aspects of life however, you will always be given more opportunities if you are social and make connections.
