Minters has some great training programs provided throughout the graduate program. The best sessions have been those run as an induction by each team - explaining the types of work, matters and key issues that arise. It is a great way to get an overview of the group and its work as well as meet other more senior members of the team.

The firm provides a lot of training programs for graduates, however it is all concentrated in our first week at work. I think some of it might be better staggered through the program once we have had some experience in the office. In particular, I think we require better networking training.

The graduate training program is very comprehensive and well organised. There is 1 week of workshops before we start and continuing workshops throughout our time as a graduate. I've picked up technological skills, networking tips, how to be an effective junior in a team and plenty of soft skills. PIC has training within the group which really helps in getting to know the industry and understanding the main types of projects we work on.

We have monthly continued learning sessions in our fields of expertise. These sessions allow us to meet the expectations of the law society to keep our practising certificates. Other than that, the training depends on the specific team.

We were given very detailed and comprehensive formal training programs both firm wide and team specific. Furthermore, the opportunity to learn from practical experience is endless. I have become much more confident now in working at a law firm than when I first started.
