Promotions seem to happen once a year and are entirely linked to your performance feedback (a collation of feedback from all the people you have worked with over the course of the year). While your title doesn't often change, your salary is likely to move if you have met the requirements.

Nous promotes people as soon as they are ready, rather than promoting people every year regardless of performance. As soon as you are ready to Project Manager, this will be identified and you will be promoted. There are only 4 levels at Nous, so promotions aren't as frequent (as if you were working in an organisation with 8+ levels of hierarchy). You do however progress each performance cycle with charge out increases and pay increases.

In my first year I have already received a pay rise. the organisation has a transparent pay process that is linked to title based promotions. I think this is a core cultural strength of the organisation
