How accessible are managers and do they make good mentors? You may want to address internal communication, performance feedback or praise and recognition.
I think it really depends on the person. Most of the managers I've had have been really accessible and are willing to provide feedback. I really like the snapshot system and the performance feedback system in general. Even though it can be annoying at times, it does give you an opportunity to reflect on the work you've done and get feedback on your work.

Incredibly accessible. I sat on a table on level 6 with 3 partners the other day and they all asked me how I was, and asked about what I was working on. The new floor plan is amazing

Well established performance feedback. Encouraged to obtain feedback every 3 weeks or after an engagement. Opportunity to work with different teams almost every 2-3 months. This inevitably means you will find some managers you dislike and some who are good mentors

Managers are generally accessible. My experiences of coaching/mentoring have been positive however this is not consistent. Performance feedback is encouraged via software and face-to-face. Recognition of performance outside of performance feedback also occurs in a structured manner.

There is a culture of regular, 'in the moment' feedback as well as scheduled coaching meetings.

PwC has developed very open communication streams. We have a robust mentorship program (if you are proactive) and I feel comfortable asking any superior any questions I may have.

Managers sit on the same floor as everybody else and are very open to discussion. Each of the managers make excellent coaches and are more than happy to provide aid or advice when needed.

I have no issues communicating with Managers and am assigned a mentor at Manager and Partner levels.

Very hit and miss, some are great mentors and managers, others are simply promoted into higher roles without the proper abilities.

Very accessible in general, have a "coach" that is a great mentor, generally very available to communicate with & receive feedback from.

Very accessible - the hierarchy is quite flat and they are all very approachable. They give recognition where appropriate and are big on feedback.
