Working Hours at PwC

6.6
6.6 rating for Working Hours, based on 141 reviews
How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
My work hours really depend on the client I'm on and how the job is going. Generally, at the end of year-end jobs, I tend to pull more hours and weekends sometimes. On lighter jobs, I can easily leave at 5/5:30. For me, it's about leaving on time when you can/ when you're not too busy so that you're not too tired to work late when you have to.

During busy periods you are expected to stay late - but so does the rest of the team so you're never left on your own. On a standard day I set my own hours - starting and finishing earlier than most in the office. I also work from home one day a week - which helps with work/life balance.

PwC is very flexible with its working hours. I can work at anytime and from anywhere I prefer. But the working hours are very long (10-12 hours), especially closer to deadlines and signing dates.

I generally work long hours as there are additional company commitments outside the hours I work for clients, but my work is in a sense very flexible as I am not obligated to work in the office- but can choose to sometimes work from home or coffee shops, just whatever suits me.

Standard is 8-5. Company says it is flexible, but does not actively encourage it honestly.

Company is reasonably flexible. I haven't had much need for flexible hours but when I do my team is accommodating. Some days I don't leave until late but this is only some of the time.

So far the hours aren't too bad, but also I don't aspire to a promotion based on what I can see

The company supports a work life balance and also enables employees to work from home.

The company is flexible but expects people to work to their maximum potential -this makes it somewhat more difficult to find a balance

Work hours can get long during busy seasons. However if we have plans, the company is very supportive for us to leave early.

PwC is flexible in general but still questions why you are not "at work" rather than being accepting of what you are doing and that you are working flexibly. In general good culture regarding work hours, e.g. don't work too hard, but understand that we will have our busy periods where you will be expected to work longer hours. Emphasis on asking for help with workload if necessary.

8:30 - 6:30 on normal days, but depends on your work and can easily leave work earlier if you have done everything. Can also work from home

The hours are incredibly long (sometimes 14-16 hour days) but they're quite flexible - for example, I'm working from home right now!
