8.5
8.5 rating for Diversity, based on 13 reviews
Please provide further information on diversity with respect to women, ethnic minorities and LGBT. Please comment on issues such as recruitment, retention, promotion, child care, maternity leave, etc.
It's not a very diverse workforce, and there is no real attempt to accommodate for different cultures/religions

Unconscious bias awareness program, career resilience courses, gender pay analysis, providing women in tech with mentoring opportunities to grow their own skills, providing amazing benefits that serve the unique needs of our people

In R&D, if you are good enough, you will rise, which is irrespective of the unrelated details mentioned above. Leave seems completely fine, though I do not know the situation for maternity leave or child care. Work is predominantly straight white males, but it is inclusive of all people. Equal opportunity, not equal outcome.

This company seems to do as well as any in this area and makes a good effort to be diverse and inclusive. This effort is hindered at times by individuals.

Have significant involvement with programs to encourage girls into STEM (often see lots of school students walking through the office participating in activities). Company has a big emphasis on not demonising the HR (People and Culture) department so that people can feel free to raise issues with them.

TechnologyOne is extremely diverse in every way. My team alone has 6 nationalities and a mix of both men and women. There are 10 people in Brisbane and a whole team in Vietnam

What does your company do to attract applicants from less privileged backgrounds?
Casting our net wider to make sure we attract the best talent for every role - Driving career progression, regardless of race, gender or any other discriminating factor - Developing our grad programs - Developing our intern program (recognised by Interns Australia as one of the best intern programs available)

We support charities like The Smith Family and participate heavily in primary, secondary and tertiary education.

The company makes a good effort to foster opportunities for less privileged people in a charitable sense. However I am not sure if this creates a lot of opportunity for social mobility to positions at this company specifically.

We promote and sponsor programmes at local universities

we have disabled people that work for us, the workplace has facilities
Graduate, Brsibane - 01 Dec 2017
The company has compensated applicants for travel/accommodation expenses if they are coming from far away (which I thought was a very nice gesture)
