I have not been told how to progress my career.

The TechnologyOne Foundation pledges 1% of profit, product and time. They donate profits to worthy causes, grant use of the software for free/discounted rate to charity organisations, and grant employees paid leave to volunteer at a charity of our choice.

Everyone is part of a team which focuses on a particular product. There are many opportunities to socialise in company events (both internal and external).

TechnologyOne is extremely diverse in every way. My team alone has 6 nationalities and a mix of both men and women. There are 10 people in Brisbane and a whole team in Vietnam We support charities like The Smith Family and participate heavily in primary, secondary and tertiary education.

As a programmer my day to day responsibilities include working on bugs or features to enhance our software, as specified by the team's analysts, and working with the analysts through the development process to ensure that the feature/bug is effective in its aim.

Managers sit with everyone else on the floor. It's as easy as walking up and starting a conversation.

First is a programming task, then an aptitude test, then an interview Because the interview is the last step, the intention is to determine if you will fit in the company culture. It is a chance for them to get to know you, and vice versa. Show your passion in the interview :)

There is a lot going on. The way in which the training was given suffered from being a bit all over the shop, but it is extensive. There has been customer service, public speaking, product, and programming training so far.

TechnologyOne is very flexible - if you're a morning person, you can come in at 6.00 am and leave at 2.00 pm if that suits your team.

We push for services running in the cloud - most cloud companies reduce their carbon footprint to save as much money as they can.
