The Diploma of Creative Design is an exciting new pathway into the Bachelor of Design. This program is delivered by ANU College (CRICOS Code 01682E) a business of Study Group Australia, on behalf of ANU. Your transcript and testamur will be issued by the Australian National University.The Diploma of Design is available to students with an ATAR of 70 or above. No portfolio submission is required.Students successfully completing the Diploma with no more than one fail or incomplete grade and a GPA of 5.0 will receive 48 units of credit status if they progress into the Bachelor of Design. This will potentially allow students to complete their degree after only two additional years of study.Students successfully completing the Diploma with no more than one fail or incomplete grade and a GPA below 5.0, or who produce a separate portfolio of work to a suitable standard, may progress to the Bachelor of Design without credit, but without limiting the right of students to make use of the ANU Credit Policy.Note that enrolment in the flexible double degree is not available.

Entry requirements

Admission to the Diploma of Design is based on meeting the ATAR requirement of 70 or an equivalent rank derived from the following qualifications:

  • An Australian Year 12 qualification or international equivalent; OR
  • An approved tertiary preparation course unless subsequent study is undertaken; OR
  • Relevant work experience may be considered in determining eligibility.
