Pros & Cons
Great friendly environment, a lot of variety in my tasks, the feeling that my work makes a positive difference to society.
Relaxed trusting attitude.
My fellow engineering colleagues - very intelligent people who are driven to benefit society.
The work I do allows people to hear. Everyone is friendly, if you need guidance in a particular subject area, you only need to ask.
The work is really interesting. The people are friendly and helpful. The work is really satisfying (getting to help people). The environment is really nurturing, the people are smart and always willing to share knowledge. Work-life balance.
The company is a medical device company, and as such things move quite slowly due to the large number of regulatory submissions required to make simple changes. This can get frustrating.
Having to wear business casual most days.
Aspects related to corporate bureaucracy.
You spend a good chunk of your time writing documentation.
There is a lot of documentation required and projects can be slow moving due to regulations. Remuneration could be higher for the calibre of work that we do.

I find performance and commitment is well recognised, and promotions occur when deserved (i.e, there are no "rules" about when it cannot happen).
Its a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, everyone is very approachable and eager to help and we are encouraged to reach beyond our teams for information and equipment to help us in our work. We socialise during work hours with regular tea breaks together and the occasional lunch. It is not a hierarchical workplace, communication is very free and easy.
Great Headquarters (where I work). Accessible by public transport, not too busy, lots of natural light, open plan office, large desks. Dress code is generally business attire, but a bit more casual.
Phone interview for internship. Presentation and psychometric testing for graduate position.
About products, experiences and what I expected in the role.
Be enthusiastic. Show your desire to help people. Demonstrate your leadership capabilities. Show you are collaborative.
I think the pay is close to other similar engineering jobs.
We get discounted local gym membership, we have change rooms and showers on site, parking is tight but not too much of an issue, and we can get reasonable (5%-10%) discounts on a range of products (groceries/electronics).
