Unsure at the moment. Will not really consider promotions till the end of the graduate program.

Charity days and fundraiser morning teas (RSPCA, Biggest Morning Tea, Legacy day).

Very hard working employees who truly care about what we do. However, a healthy balance of fun and work, with casual Fridays and drinks on paydays.

Wide and diverse workforce. Indigenous cadet and graduate programs.

I have learnt about the ICT applications and frameworks used in the department. I have worked on developing use cases and test cases for an ongoing project. I have also been working with the other ICT graduates on a major project and organising Departmental events with other graduates.

As previously mentioned, the department is very siloed and a lot more work needs to be done to improve the way we communicate internally. Given that work is distributed nationally by function, we need to put a lot more effort into getting feedback from all staff.

Office is located in the city centre. Building is new. Facilities are good. Dress code is generally business.

Before they come to interview know about the department and company and based on that you can decide which one is best to you.

Healthy lifestyle subsidy (an amount you can use towards gym membership, sporting equipment etc per calendar year).

Graduates are required to do extensive training through APSC. While I can see the benefit of this training program, it does take away from actual work and feels a bit like high school all over again.

Whilst I sometimes work longer hours, I also know that flex-time is always being built up and my supervisors are more than happy for me to take it. I really enjoy what I do so staying back an hour or two occasionally is perfectly acceptable.
