Pros & Cons

  • The work culture is good and my teammates are awesome.
  • Helping with RICS accreditation.
  • The large variety of projects I have been involved with since being here and the constant internal development.
  • On a day to day basis, I love the team that I am part of. The team has great energy and is very supportive. In regards to the overall company as a bigger picture, I like the opportunity it affords for my career progression. The company has different service sectors which I could in future transition into.
  • The team and the range of clients.
  • There is sometimes a disconnect from upper management/global management to the team. However, the company is trying its best to fill this gap to provide better working experience for its employees.
  • Given project requirements there may be some long days, however, when working in a strong and supportive team this becomes less of an issue.

The company is driven to succeed with clear goals. Teams work well. T&T has a couple of social events throughout the year, however, could benefit from having these more regularly.

It could be better, but it has improved by a fair bit since I started.

Recruitment

Recruitment
It was just like most companies as in you need to send your cover letter/resume/academic transcript and go through minimum 1 interview with directors/Senior PM's. I would say do your research, see which projects they are currently working on, and remember the different times they have shown leadership, teamwork, stakeholder management skills.

Training
There are formal training sessions which are centrally run, otherwise, there is also informal training run from time to time. If you personally invest the time to upskill, the resources are there. Sure, there are some times when you specifically need to raise for hand and request certain training but don't be scared to! It also helps when you have a great relationship with your line manager.

Extra hours worked may not be paid out as overtime however is recognised by my line manager and taken into consideration when I might have a morning appointment or etc.

Sustainability
I have seen recycled bins in the offices and Senior management do insist not to print in colour if this can be avoided, etc.
