Strict level progressions i.e. have to apply to move grades. Although there tends to be a lot of movement.

Amazing. Everyone in my division are very approachable and good to talk to. After-work culture is also great, however we are given multiple socialisation opportunities during work hours. Managers and directors are all very friendly and approachable, they also provide great support and complement high quality work.

Many programs for Indigenous and disabled people. Including internships, traineeships and graduate programs.

Analysing data, quality-assuring figures, creating presentations.

Very good and accessible.

Good location and space, the dress code is business.

Can't quite remember but they were mostly behavioural questions (some technical/political things as well). Be clear on what you want. Why are you passionate about [x job/industry/issue]? Have your story ready and be prepared to tell it over and over again.

It is a fairly basic graduate salary. No real perks here!

Depends on the type of work - we are encouraged to find relevant training e.g. Excel.

I work just beyond the expected 9-5pm on a regular basis. It's pretty flexible but this is a demanding department.

This seems to be on par with other Victorian Government departments.
