Good bonding with my immediate team members. Social events every now and then. Drinks each Friday to give an opportunity for colleagues to unwind.

A number of firm-wide initiatives regarding diversity in the workplace; GT regularly holds events and fundraisers and recently won an award for their efforts with diversity.

As a grad in audit, I usually do audit cycles like cash, operating expenses, capital assets and employee compensation. I change clients around every two weeks, and each client is quite different but the general audit procedures are the same. I work within small teams for each engagement. I work 90% of the time on excel, using work papers to test the validity of the figures in the financial statements presented by clients.

Most managers are very approachable and always willing to help. You will be allocated to coach and mentor from day one that will help you with your career goals.

Recently entered a brand new agile office space, plenty of areas to work and excellent facilities in the building. Opportunity to dress for your day when working from the office meaning a dress code more aligned with business casual rather than formal suit and tie.

Assessment centres include a tour of the office, as well as a group activity. Individual interviews are often held with managers as well as partners for the final stage.

Average salary, but in line with competitors. The company does not pay bonuses to employees.

A number of formal training days throughout the year with focus on new accounting standards and implementation of new programs etc. Paid Chartered Accountants course with workshops held at the office for convenience.

The company offers good flexible working arrangements. However, during busy season you are expected to work long hours due to the demand of our clients.

It's not great but we try.
